Love Brighton for long walks and shopping with plenty of places to eat & drink, like a lot of places post Covid it can be a bit scruffy and run down in places with empty shops but all the staff we came across were great, obviously gets a bit lively at times but the council have security patrols walking around during the day and evenings so feels safer than some places we've been.

It's just great to walk around. The Pavilion is a must.
It's just great to walk around. The Pavilion is a must. And if the weather's nice, visit Rottingdean! It's a lovely village on the edge of the city. Strangely the city tour bus doesn't go there. But the bus services are generally excellent and you can explore East Sussex and the coast. No buses to Arundel or Petworth to the west, Brighton is missing a trick there.

A bustling town with plenty of the usual UK High St stores and many buses that run along the coast to Littlehampton to the East and Eastbourne to the West. Hard to walk and sit on LARGE PEBBLE beach though!

Brighton is a mini London.
Brighton is a mini London. You can find all things there, but within walking distance. I felt safe, however on Friday night I smelled weed throughout the main street and pretty packed. Brighton is built on hills, so expect to use your legs, it reminded me of walking in San Francisco. Weather was pretty cold in April, raining, very windy, but overall, I liked It a lot!

Room are spacious, bed comfortable, decoration of the room is nice. Bathroom is nice/ modern . Breakfast is good. There is a mini fridge and a safe in the room. coffee facilities . Small TV on the wall. There is lift helpful. Sainsbury local next door which was helpful lots of food places and shops on door step 15 minutes walk to the pier/ beach location of the hotel is excellent. Room not noisy. I like it so I booked extra two nights.
Hotel was lovely and the rooms was very spacious. Hotel directly on the seafront just a walk away from all the things to do. Hotel is situated 1 street away from a car park. The car park is the most affordable multi story parking in the area. Most car parks charging up to 40 pounds for 24 hours when this park was 27 for brighton this is cheap. Hotel was lovely and friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely as well and well organised.
The property was clean with good facilities and located on a quiet street. The hosts were helpful pre-visit. Although parking in Brighton is expensive, the hosts pointed us in the direction of best cheap options and (with careful timing) we managed to utilise the street parking near the flat overnight for free. The property suited our needs for the night that we stayed and the sofa bed was also comfortable.
I highly recommend Brighton Surf Guesthouse! The guesthouse is very clean throughout, and my room was spacious with everything that i needed. The hotel is quiet, and is situated near to local amenities and within easy walking distance of the beach. The staff were also flexible and they went above and beyond to ensure that everything was absolutely perfect for me. I highly recommend this guesthouse!

ALSO VERY SUNNY NICE WEATHER WHICH WAS THE ICING ON AN ALREADY NICE CAKE.ALSO WE GOT AN UPGRADED ROOM FREE OF CHARGE. VERY VERY PLEASED WITH THIS HOTEL WILL STAY AGAIN IF IN BRIGHTON.
The hotel was at a very convenient location, ~3min walk from the Brighton train station and bus stops to a variety of locations. Near the city centre and beach. The room was big and was fully equipped for a 5-night stay, with facilities for hot drinks in the room. The breakfast provided a variety of options (continental, full English, cereal, etc).
Hotel lobby was beautiful and our room was very clean and spacious! All the staff were very happy and helpful. It was about a 20 minute flat walk from the centre of Brighton but the hotel was situated right on the seafront and the beaches were beautiful and much more quiter that end. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!
The rooms were nice and tidy with lovely layout and decors. Location was prime as it's right next to the famous Lanes and various restaurants and shops nearby, plus just a minute walk from the beach. Staff were very friendly and took us to our room with a detailed explanation of the facilities and service the hotel offers.
this was my first trip to Brighton and our first trip in a while and Maon Hotel was incredible. Very accommodating, helpful and clean. Would recommend staying here, we were only a 2 minute walk from the beach, they assisted with parking queries and were very pleasant on arrival and departure.
The hotel is perfectly situated for the beach, pier, food and shopping. The hotel is clean with great amenities, rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. We love visiting Brighton as a family and staying here.
The location was good, close to seafront and near the main attractions. The twin beds were comfortable. It was the cheapest room we could find in centre of Brighton on a bank holiday weekend.
The room was large, modern & clean- the hotel was lovely. Great location for exploring Brighton- right on the seafront and walking distance to the shops, lanes and restaurants.
The room was very spacious and well designed, with a power outlet beside the makeup mirror. Comfortable bed, best hotel towels I've ever found, good water pressure in shower.
The staff were great and the hotel was as expected given its age. The location is great, a few minutes walk from the Pier and the Lanes and right opposite the beach.
